Deep Impact

I just finished watching the movie Deep Impact and I have to say it's a pretty good movie. It's not a movie that I would probably just pick to watch, but since there was nothing on Tv I decided to watch it. This movie is about a comet that's coming to Earth and threatens life on Earth. NASA sends a group of specialized astronauts out to space to destroy the comet. They begin drilling and placing explosives in the comet. Once they finished they leave the comet and pull the trigger. The idea was for the explosives to destroy the comet, blow it into a million little pieces. But that's not what happened, instead they just blew a smaller chuck off and instead of one heading towards Earth there were two. The astronauts couldn't stop both but they could stop one and they decided to stop the bigger one by driving their space ship straight into the comet. The comet blew into a million little pieces, but the little still hit Earth. It did damage to earth but not as much as the big one wold have done. So in the end of the movie the President who is played by Samuel L. Jackson is speaking to America and talking about what was destroyed and how America can rebuild. Very good movie, i recommend anyone to see it.
